Should I purchase or lease my equipment?
 

Leasing is often an excellent choice while interest rates are low, as they are now.  A lease may be tax deductible for a business in the year you incur the monthly expense, and it allows you to lock in a maintenance rate for 3-5 years.  Leasing allows you to upgrade as business needs change while keeping your expenses low.  

Whether to lease or to purchase outright is an individual decision based on the needs of your company.  Your Royal representative will be happy to consult with you, presenting you with pricing and the potential benefits of either choice so you can make an informed decision.   


Why consider a multifunction product rather than a standalone copier?

 

An MFP (multi-function printer) combines similar technologies - printing, copying, scanning and faxing - in a single machine.  This is more economical in several ways:  it uses less floor space, you need to stock only one set of consumable supplies and you eliminate the need for multiple service suppliers and contracts.  MFPs are available in almost all speed and product ranges.

 


Can I afford color?
 

The time for color has definitely arrived.  Prices have dropped; both speed and quality have improved.  Color copier/printers also print in black & white, at prices comparable with standard monochrome-only copier/printers, so you can replace your monochrome copier or printer and enjoy the additional benefit of color printing, copying and scanning with the same device.

How do I benifit from having a Copy Kit contract on my copier?

 

All copiers have a specific maintenance schedule and certain parts have predictable life cycles.  If the maintenance and parts replacement isn't done on time, copy quality will degrade and you will experience more misfeeds and downtime.  The best way to keep your equipment working with maximum uptime is to follow these manufacturer-recommended maintenance schedules and prevent problems before they become repair issues. 

Royal's Copy Kit prices are based on an average of 5 years of supply usage, scheduled maintenance and predictable parts replacement that have been converted into a per-copy cost.  Your cost is then based on the number of copies you are making, and we invoice you monthly, quarterly or annually depending on your contract and preferences.  It has been our experience that the Copy Kit pricing is lower than if you had paid on an as-needed basis, and overall customer satisfaction is higher because we are able to prevent many emergency calls that would ordinarily occur by staying on top of the preventive maintenance.

A Copy Kit covers your service calls, preventive maintenance, engineering upgrades, and all of your copier supplies and consumables.  All you buy is paper.  This helps to prevent emergency service calls, prolongs the serviceable life of your copier/printer, and allows you to budget for service and maintenance costs.

 


How do I request service on my equipment?

 

The easiest way is to place the call from this website.  On the menu, simply go to "Service & Support," then "Place a Service Call."  Enter your equipment's ID (located on a sticker on the right top edge of your machine) or model/serial number to place the call.  This service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

If you wish to speak to an operator when placing your call, you may reach a branch office during working hours.  In Anchorage call 907-563-4118.  You will receive prompt and courteous help.


How quickly can I get equipment and supplies?

 

We usually deliver supplies the next working day, sometimes sooner.  When you order equipment, we schedule the delivery time with you to best meet your needs.  Royal carries a large stock of equipment, supplies and parts at each branch office so we can deliver your order promptly.

 

What are your store hours?

 

Royal's hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, exclusive of holidays.
